Somatic Individual & Couples Therapy in Ohio, North Carolina & Illinois

For adults and couples who function well on the outside - but feel overwhelmed underneath.

You may be managing work, family, and daily responsibilities while quietly carrying anxiety, disconnection, or stress. Therapy here is thoughtful and steady. It's a place to slow down, understand what's beneath the surface, and begin making changes that feel lasting and real.

You're doing your best. And it still feels hard.

You might recognize:

  • Repeating conflict or emotional shutdown at home that never fully resolves

  • Feeling stretched thin, even when nothing is "wrong"

  • Anxiety or tension that lingers beneath the surface

  • Trying to hold it together while feeling worn down inside

  • Feeling distance from your partner (or yourself)

  • Carrying more stress than you let others see

Whatever's bringing you in, we start there.

Therapy here is a steady, supportive space to be human. To slow down, to make sense of what's happening beneath the surface, to explore patterns of behavior you've been carrying with you. To find ways forward that feed realistic and sustainable.

About
A Different Kind
of Therapy

Most people arrive here having already tried to think their way through what's hard. They understand their patterns, they've done the work. But something still feels stuck.

That's usually a sign the work needs to go deeper than words.

Here, we work with your whole self, not just what you can articulate, but what lives in your body, your nervous system, your relationships. Through somatic and body-based approaches, emotionally focused therapy, brainspotting, and internal family systems work, we get underneath the patterns rather than just managing them.

There's room here to slow down. To actually feel what's happening. To stop performing OK and start finding your way back to yourself.

That's where real change begins.

Warm therapy office setting

This is my first time doing therapy and it has been a very positive experience. Aidan is very empathetic to my situation and problems; I always get the sense that she understands why I feel the way I do. It helps a great deal to have someone to talk through my feelings with each week.

Aidan is phenomenal. I truly FEEL her listening and understanding me. No other therapist had to date. The first session she explained so much about how it works and what her responses mean or don't mean. Established trust right out of the gate. I'm so glad I continued my search for a good fit!

In between our weekly sessions, I miss talking with Aidan! She brings such calmness to a storm I'm living through right now and feels so safe for me to just word vomit. I respect her responses and feedback because I know she respects my position and feelings. So grateful to have continued my search for the right fit and connect with Aidan.

About Aidan

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working with adults and couples in Ohio, North Carolina, and Illinois. While my title includes "marriage and family", my work isn't limited to couples. It means I'm trained to look at the full system around you.

We don't just focus on symptoms in isolation. We look at how relationships, work, parenting, culture, and past experiences all interact. The patterns in your life make sense in context-- and that's where meaningful change begins. My approach is somatic and relational, meaning we work with what's happening in your body and your relationships, not just what you can articulate in words.

My style is collaborative and steady, with room for honesty, gentle challenge, and even humor. Therapy is a space where you don’t have to perform or meet expectations — it’s your hour to be fully yourself, without judgment.
